Meet Our Dedicated Team of Experts

Devinne Ryan, M.S., BCBA


Devinne is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 10 years of experience working with children with varying abilities and behavioral skills. She has performed in various settings, including elementary school, high school, hospital, in-home, and clinic. Devinne enjoys baking and traveling with her three kids and husband during her free time. Her favorite aspect of providing ABA services is empowering clients and their families to overcome obstacles to improve their quality of life.

Amber Beck, M.Ed., RBT

Amber has been a special education teacher for 10 years and holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership. She is also an RBT with Whole Health Behavior and enjoys providing ABA services to her clients. Amber enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her three sons in her spare time.

Serena Herbert, M.Ed., RBT

Serena has 15 years of experience teaching special education, including life skills, behavior, early childhood special education, resources, and inclusion. Last year, she joined the team as an RBT and loves to learn from our BCBAs and fellow RBTs. Serena enjoys spending time with her three kids relaxing in the river, watching her Houston Rockets, and playing darts and dominoes. She is looking into going back to school to become a BCBA. Serena’s favorite thing about ABA is seeing clients generalize their skills across people and places.

Maria Giffen, RBT

Maria leverages her background in special education to provide tailored services aimed at facilitating successful transitions for her clients into their respective school environments. With a wealth of experience in training RBTs, paraprofessionals, and behavior teachers, Maria is deeply committed to ensuring client success and delivering impactful treatment. She is driven to push each individual towards reaching their fullest potential, drawing from her extensive experience working with clients across a broad age range, from elementary to adult, and spanning various levels of need and behavior complexity. Maria’s consistent dedication and high expectations yield a proven track record of effective treatment, leading to tangible progress for her clients.

Sarah Martin, BSW, RBT

Sarah is a compassionate caregiver who thrives on infusing creativity, art, and leisure activities into her work while highlighting the diverse strengths of her clients. With a specialization in working with young learners, Sarah draws from her experience as a social worker to offer a collaborative approach with families, tailoring therapy to meet their unique needs. Outside of her professional life, Sarah cherishes time with her two young children, relishing in park adventures, culinary explorations, and discovering the charms of San Antonio as a family.

Laura McWhorter, BCBA, Psy.D.

Dr. McWhorter has been working with children and adults with varied abilities for over 15 years. She is the founder of Whole Health Behavior and Whole Health Psychology. She believes in therapy that is mindful of the entire person, taking into account all aspects of the individual. Dr. McWhorter enjoys working as both a BCBA and a psychologist. She is also passionate about collaboration with parents, medical personnel, and schools. When not working, she spends time with her husband and their four adult children and their families.

Stacy English, Psy.S., BCBA, SSP

Stacy has worked with Whole Health Behavior for several years. She began as an RBT and has become a BCBA! Stacy also works in the schools as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. In addition, Stacy will be starting her Doctoral coursework in 2024.

Andrea Chavez, RBT

Ms. Drea is a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT). She works with children and young adults in the growing field of ABA. She enjoys taking on new challenges every day. Ms. Drea is exceptionally talented in working with adolescents to implement Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy for them and their families. Ms. Drea likes reading, traveling the world, and experiencing new cultures!

Brittany Garcia, BCBA, Clinical Director

Brittany’s career has been rich and varied, starting as a special education teacher and extending to roles encompassing the spectrum of child development and special needs diagnosis. She’s left her mark in general education, preschool classrooms, resource setting, inclusion setting, specialized life skills classrooms, and settings catering to students with diverse behavioral needs. Brittany emphasizes providing compassionate and collaborative care to clients and their families. As a devoted mother of six, including children with Individualized Education Plans, Brittany brings a deeply personal understanding to her advocacy work within school systems. She thrives on helping families navigate the complex terrain of educational collaboration, leveraging her expertise to champion the needs of her clients. Brittany extends her influence through mentorship, guiding aspiring behavior analysts and providing supervision hours for BCBA candidates and interns alike.

Jennifer Heritch, M.Ed., BCBA

Jennifer virtually teaches Applied Behavior Analysis courses at the Florida Institute of Technology. She worked as a special education teacher, District Behavior Specialist, and Behavior Program Coordinator in a public school district for 29 years. While working as a school district behavior specialist, Jennifer fell in love with applied behavior analysis. Throughout her 29 years of school district service, Jennifer always maintained the mission to help students learn new skills and decrease challenging behaviors. She worked with faculty and families to create environments that led students to success. One of the skills Jennifer brings to Whole Health Behavior is conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and creating Behavior Intervention Plans. Jennifer deeply loves delivering training and professional development, especially in classroom management, behavior data collection, and behavior strategies.
